Macrothink Institute is an independent organization dedicated to scientific research and publication. Macrothink Institute is working in the field of online scholarly journal publication; it publishes a number of online peer-reviewed journals and these journals are open to readers.

As a new player in the field of scientific publication, Macrothink Institute aims to be a significant contributor to scientific development in the digital era. We recognize that traditional print journals have some disadvantages, such as higher costs, paper consumption, low efficiency and limitation for distribution, while online journals are more efficient, cost less and are environmentally friendly. We believe digital scholarly journals are the trend for scientific publication.

Formed in the digital era, Macrothink Institute is very different from traditional academic institutions. Firstly, Macrothink Institute has minimized its administrative system, and utilizes computers and the Internet to do most of the necessary low-level tasks. Secondly, it works with many excellent scholars from around the world. This pattern of organization ensures that Macrothink is powered by wide-ranging ideas from many cultures and research areas. Thirdly, we think “open source” is an essential channel to promote the development of science and research. All journals published by Macrothink are open to readers, and anyone can download and read our online journals freely, without payment or subscription.

In partnership with governments, community organizations, public agencies, business, foundations and non-government organizations, Macrothink Institute has taken part in a variety of programs to support and promote research and international cooperation, including educational programs for students, and financial support for researchers.
