Dr Agata Surówka works as an assistant professor at the Department of Quantitative Methods of the Faculty of Management of the Rzeszów University of Technology. In 2014 she obtained a doctoral degree in economic sciences in the discipline of economics on the basis of a doctoral dissertation entitled „Competitiveness of Eastern Poland – Current State and Prospects for Change”. She is the author of numerous scientific publications focused on the use of statistical tools in research in the field of socio-economic geography. In particular, in his own research, he focuses on the key problems of regional development, energy security and economic and social cohesion in the European Union. She actively participated in numerous trainings on statistical analysis and IT support for statistics, in order to improve her professional competences. She has been a beneficiary of the Erasmus + program several times and conducted classes with students at selected European universities in Riga, Vilnius and Lisbon. He is an active member of national research projects (including the project on the impact of air transport on regional labor markets) and scientific societies, including the Polish Statistical Association and the Polish Economic Society.
