Journal of Sociological Research
Journal of Sociological Research (JSR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published semiannually by Macrothink Institute. The journal publishes original research on social relationships, institutions, inequalities, and processes of social change. It welcomes quantitative, qualitative, and theoretical studies in areas including social stratification, family, work, culture, political sociology, and population research.
Focus and Scope
The journal’s scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Sociological theory and social structure
- Family and population studies
- Social stratification and inequality
- Race, class, and gender inequality
- Organizations, work, and markets
- Political sociology and social movements
- Survey research and sociological methods
- Social attitudes and public opinion
- Law, crime, and deviance
- Education, health, and culture
All submissions should address a clearly defined sociological question, engage with relevant scholarship, and demonstrate methodological rigor appropriate to their design. Purely descriptive reports, advocacy pieces without sociological analysis, and manuscripts unrelated to the journal’s scope are not normally considered.

Paper Selection and Publication Process
a). Upon receipt of paper submission, the Editor sends an E-mail of confirmation to the corresponding author within 1-3 working days. If you fail to receive this confirmation, your submission/e-mail may be missed. Please contact the Editor in time for that.
b). Peer review. The review process may take 4-10 weeks.
c). Notification of the result of review by E-mail.
d). The authors revise paper and pay Article Processing Charge (100USD).
e). E-journal in PDF is available on the journal’s webpage, free of charge for download. We aim to post articles within 3 weeks of acceptance.

Its subject matter ranges from the micro level of face-to-face interaction to the macro level of societies at large. The journal is multi-disciplinary and serves both academic and practitioner audience.
