Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission is unpublished, original work that has not been not been submitted elsewhere and will not be submitted elsewhere while under consideration by the Editorial Board of the journal.
  2. Authors must disclose confidentially to the editorial staff of the journal any potentially overlapping materials, whether already published, or currently in peer review. Submissions previously submitted to other journals have to be declared as such to avoid burdening an already labor-intensive peer review process. It is best if the authors attach clearly labeled copies of any such potentially duplicative work, along with their original submission to the journal. They should include either the previous critique, or a cover letter with the new submission that explains how the authors have modified the manuscript to address the previous (outside) critique.
  3. The submission file is in MS-Word format and sent through the online submission system.
  4. The text and references meet the formatting requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. We strongly suggest that you use the template for preparing your paper.

  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review) have been followed.

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher. The Editors reserve the right to edit or otherwise alter all contributions, but authors will receive proofs for approval before publication.

Copyrights for articles published in MTI journals are retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work. It is the author's responsibility to bring an infringement action if so desired by the author.

Waiver policy is only applied for reviewers and associate editors of this journal. An associate editor, or a reviewer, could get free publication for one article if he/she has received in his/her area, or revised, a considerable amount of articles.
